TAP Founder's Award
The TAP Founder's Award was presented to North DeSoto Middle School in 2013 and is given annually to one school for exceptional efforts to implement and represent the principles of the TAP System for Teacher and Student Advancement —resulting in improvements to educator effectiveness and student achievement growth.
TAP SCHOOL OF PROMISE AWARD
North DeSoto Middle School was one of three schools across the nation to be awarded the prestigious TAP School of Promise Award on March 20, 2010. This honor recognizes North DeSoto Middle School's commitment to TAP: The System for Teacher and Student Advancement, leading to significant achievement results in the early stages of TAP implementation. After just one year of TAP, North DeSoto's performance rating increased to 102.3, showing "exemplary academic growth."
NDMS selected as MODEL PRACTICE SCHOOL SITE
In 2011 NDMS was selected as a exemplary site utilizing TAP best practices to be used for other schools.
LOUISIANA TAP 2011 ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR YEAR TWO AND BEYOND TAP SCHOOLS
The Louisiana TAP 2011 Achievement Award for Year Two and Beyond TAP Schools was presented to North DeSoto Middle School for its unfailing fidelity to the TAP model, its high degree of participation and leadership in state and national TAP activities, its evidence of an "open door" policy to share TAP practices, and its high- level of responsiveness to ongoing TAP responsibilities and growth. North DeSoto Middle School has distinguished itself with both its Program Review Scores and its value-added scores.
TAP Path of Excellence
The School-Wide Value Added Score of 5 Award was presented to NDMS, a Louisiana TAP school, that distinguished itself by achieving school-wide value added scores of 5 beginning in 2009.
TOP Gains School
Awarded by the Louisiana Department of Education to schools earning an A in progress.
Equity Badge
Awarded by the Louisiana Department of Education to schools whose economically disadvantaged students or students with disabilities perform at the 90% or higher.
Math Comeback Campus
Louisiana Department of Education recognized schools that increased the percentage of students scoring mastery or above and decreased the percentage of students scoring unsatisfactory when compared to 2019.
"A" School Rating
Since 2012 NDMS has earned an "A" rating as a school.
Teacher Retention
NDMS retained 100% of faculty in 2022-2023 academic year.
