PTA News

This month’s PTA meeting is TODAY (Monday, April 1) at 4:00 pm in the Music Classroom. You can park and enter at the cafeteria. PTA will sell concessions on Friday April 5 and 26. 

Bond Proposal Community Meeting April 2, 6:00 pm

Principal Tabor, Superintendent Corley, and other district leaders will host a community meeting at NDLE at 6:00 pm on April 2nd. This is a chance for our Little Griffin family as well as other community members to come learn about the updated bond proposal for the April 27th special election. Morning with Mom

PTA will host Mornings with Mom for PreK on April 9, Kindergarten on April 10, and First Grade on April 11. Come enjoy a donut and some juice with your little Griffins!

Parent Conferences

Students will have a virtual day on Monday, April 15 for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Please schedule a time to meet with your teacher to discuss your child’s progress. 

Kona Ice

Kona Ice will be selling snowcones for $3 on Friday April 19. A portion of their sales is donated back to the school.

Kindergarten Musical: Gettin’ Down With Mama Goose! by: Mark Burrows

Kindergarten classes will perform a Mother Goose themed musical this year. Kindergarten students may dress as a character from a Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme. Due to the capacity of our facility and the number of kindergarten students, we will have two evening shows. The performance will last approximately 30 minutes.

Monday, April 29, 6:30 pm   Bates, Holsomback, Northcutt, Turner and Webb’s classes

Tuesday, April 30 6:30 pm Jones, Meserole, Simmons, and Young’s classes

Lost and Found

Please come check our lost and found for lost jackets and water bottles. 

PreK-4 Registration

Registration can still be completed online here https://desotoreadystart.com/registration/. You will need to upload the following or bring copies in person to the school: 

• Child's Birth Certificate

• Child's Social Security Card

• Child's Immunization Record

• Parent's Driver's License (address must match bills)

• Electric Bill

• One other UTILITY BILL (Gas, water, cable, satellite, trash pickup)

• Last 2 check stubs for each adult in the household if you do not receive SNAP or Medicaid

• Print and sign the Attendance Agreement

• If you do not work, print and fill out the No Income Form

• If you have irregular income, print and fill out the Irregular Income Form

        4 - assorted waffles or vanilla confetti pancakes & sausage patty, pineapple chunks, juice, milk
