P.E. News
Our American Heart Fundraiser officially kicked off on January 12th and ends January 26th. Registration and donations will be strictly done online at http://www2.heart.org/goto/ndle .
Any student that raises $150 or more will get to silly string Coach Barbo, Coach, Locke, or Coach James. Our school goal is to raise $6000.
The P.E. Department raises money for the American Heart Association through this fundraiser while also getting a portion to buy new equipment for their students. With 500+ students coming to P.E. in the gym each week, equipment and materials gets worn quickly. Please help support a good cause by signing up and raising some money!
DIBELS testing
Kindergarten and First Grade students will be taking the DIBELS test this week. This is a one on one literacy test to measure our students reading skills and compare their skills with students across our state. This test is given at the beginning, middle, and end of the year. There is no preparation needed from parents, but to make sure your kiddos are well rested and at school on time. Each class will have a scheduled testing time. This will not be a multiple day test like the state tests older grade levels participate in. More information can be found on the Louisiana Department of Education website here: https://louisianabelieves.com/measuringresults/pre-k-to-third-grade-assessments
