NDLE Mardi Gras Literacy Night

Mark your calendars families! Feb. 8th, 5:30-7:30!

NDLE is hosting a family night similar to the Monster Math Bash we had back in  October. This time wear your Mardi Gras colors and come enjoy some fun literacy activities with our Little Griffin community.

Literacy is the ability to read and write. This is the most important skill for our Little Griffins to learn during their time with us. Having simple conversations about the beginning sounds of words, breaking words into different parts, naming all the sounds in words, reading books, and creating rhymes are great ways to help build background knowledge, active listening, and reading skills.

Come join us on Thursday, February 8th, 5:30-7:30 to participate in some great learning activities with our NDLE teachers.  If you want to skip out on cooking that night, pre-order a Jambalaya plate from our Jambalaya fundraiser. Jambalaya orders are due by January 24th. You can send your form and payment back with your student or come by the office to reserve your plate. Streetcar Snoballs will be on site as well.

**All proceeds from the Jambalaya fundraiser will go towards the Mason Chandler Memorial Playground.
