PTA News

  • There is a Virtual PTA meeting on Zoom tonight at 6:00 pm. President Kelly Nelson will post a link in the PTA GroupMe message group for all members to join the meeting. If you are interested in joining PTA, please email or send a Rooms message to Mrs. Brawley. tara.brawley@desotopsb.com

  • PTA will be selling a spirit shirt this month. More information will be coming soon!

  • PTA Concessions will be January 12 and 26.

P.E. News

REGISTER NOW, IT'S FREE!!!!

Our American Heart Fundraiser will be officially kicking on January 12th and ending January 26th.

 Registration and donations will be strictly done online at :http://www2.heart.org/goto/ndle

Any student that raised $100 during during our silent kick-off January 7th-11th, will receive a prize on January 12th.

Any student that raises $150 or more will get to silly string Coach Barbo, Coach, Locke, or Coach James.

Our school goal is to raise $6000.

The P.E. Department raises money for the American Heart Association through this fundraiser while also getting a portion to buy new equipment for their students. With 500+ students coming to P.E. in the gym each week, equipment and materials gets worn quickly.  Please help support a good cause by signing up and raising some money!

Soccer Registration Open for Spring Season

Did you know that there are North DeSoto soccer teams that play through the local organization CABOSA? There is at least one team for each age level at NDLE and NDUE. If you are interested in playing, you can check out their website and register here https://cabosa.org/. Be sure to list North DeSoto as your child’s school to get placed on one of our teams.

Mark Your Calendars!

Students are out of school on Monday, January 15 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and on Monday, February 5 for Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please remember to schedule a conference time with your child’s teacher on Feb. 5th.

Mardi Gras Literacy Night

NDLE is hosting a Mardi Gras themed Literacy Night on February 8th at 5:30 pm. This night is for fun, fellowship and to help parents learn how to support their child’s reading skills. 

Jambalaya Fundraiser

NDLE has partnered with the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office for a Jambalaya Fundraiser. Jambalaya plates will be presale only. Forms will go home in student folders today. Orders are due on January 24th. You can pick up your plates during the Mardi Gras Literacy Night on February 8th, 5:30-7:30. All proceeds from the Jambalaya Fundraiser will go towards completing the Mason Chandler Memorial playground and other school improvements.

Jan. 9- pancake dippers OR pancake on a stick, tropical fruit cup, syrup, milk/juice

        10 - sausage biscuit, mandarin oranges, jelly, milk/juice 

        11 - bagel breakfast pizza, pears, milk/juice

        15- Out of School for MLK, Jr. Day
