PTA News
Pay 2$ to wear athletic wear to school on Thursday, Oct. 19. Boo Gram order forms are due on Friday, Oct. 20. If you want to order more than one, you can attach a note or make a copy of the order form. Please send exact amounts of money in a labeled envelope or bag attached to your order form. Our next concession date is Thursday, Oct. 26. Our next meeting is Nov. 6.
Blue Shirt in honor of Bullying Prevention Month
On Friday, Oct. 20 our school district is encouraging students to wear a blue shirt in honor of Bullying Prevention Month.
Monster Mash Math Carnival
All Little Griffins and their families are invited to attend this event from 5:30-7:30 on Thursday, Oct. 26 at NDLE. There will be food trucks, fun math games, Jubilee Zoo, and many more fun activities!
Book Fair
The book fair will be open in the library the week of Oct. 23-26. All classes will get a chance to shop the book fair during the school day on those days. It will also be open during our Monster Mash Math Carnival. It will be closed on Oct. 27 for our book parade.
Book Parade
Our annual book parade will take place at 9:00 am on Friday, Oct. 27. All parents and family members are welcome to attend! Teachers will contact you about the book and dress up requirements for your child’s class. This event has been happening every year for 18 years (with the exception of 2020) and this is our librarian, Mrs. Garner’s, last year. The book fair will be closed on this day.
Red Ribbon Week Dress Up Days (Oct. 23-27)
Monday, Oct. 23- Be Bold, Be Brave, Be You - Wear RED
Tuesday, Oct. 24- Fight the War Against Drugs - wear camo
Wednesday, Oct. 25- Team up against drugs -wear a shirt or jersey of your favorite sports team
Thursday, Oct. 26- We are too bright to do drugs- wear NEON or bright colors
Friday, Oct. 27- We have too much character to do drugs- wear Book Parade Costume
* Red Ribbon Week is a national event to help spread awareness of the dangers of drugs. In our school building, we relate it to making safe and healthy choices due to the young age of our students.
Spirit Days
Students may wear spirit shirts with uniform bottoms (no jeans) on Fridays only.
