Picture Day is Tuesday, Sept. 19!!
Cowen photography will be at NDLE on Tuesday to take pictures of all staff and students for the yearbook. Students may wear an outfit of their choice. Makeup pictures will be taken on October 25.
Cafeteria News
Parents, please remind your students to eat breakfast before going to their classroom. This will cut down on our hallway traffic. All of our students can eat breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria free of charge. Breakfast begins at 7:10 am and ends at 7:40 am.
PTA Concessions
PTA will sell concessions on Friday, Sept. 22. There will be no Kona Ice this month. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please send money in an envelope or ziplock bag with your child’s name and their teacher’s name for concessions on Friday.
Donuts with Dad
Come have a donut with your Little Griffin student before school. Each grade level has a specific day (PK Sept. 26, K Sept. 27, First Sept. 28). This is an event sponsored by PTA and it takes place in the gym. Dads with kids in more than one grade level can pick one day to be with both students.
ND Homecoming Week Dress Up Days (Sept. 25-29)
Monday, Sept. 25- Party in the USA wear red, white, and blue
Tuesday, Sept. 26- Should’ve been a Cowboy wear cowboy attire
Wednesday, Sept. 27- I’m a 90’s Baby dress in 90’s style
Thursday, Sept. 28- Teen Beach Movie Surfers vs. Bikers dress like a surfer or a biker
Friday, Sept. 29- Dress your class color, PK- white, Kindergarten-Navy, First grade-Red
Parents, No one piece costumes. Your children still must be able to go to the bathroom without help.
Red Ribbon Week Dress Up Days (Oct. 23-27)
Monday, Oct. 23- Be Bold, Be Brave, Be You - Wear RED
Tuesday, Oct. 24- Fight the War Against Drugs - wear camo
Wednesday, Oct. 25- Team up against drugs -wear your a shirt or jersey of your favorite sports team
Thursday, Oct. 26- We are too bright to do drugs- wear NEON or bright colors
Friday, Oct. 27- We have too much character to do drugs- wear Book Parade Costume
* Red Ribbon Week is a national event to help spread awareness of the dangers of drugs. In our school building, we relate it to making safe and healthy choices due to the young age of our students.
Spirit Days
Students may wear spirit shirts with uniform bottoms (no jeans) on Fridays only.
